Kammerjunker (biscuit)

A kammerjunker is a type of Danish biscuit, which is typically eaten with koldskål, a buttermilk-based product. Like koldskål, kammerjunkers are eaten mostly in the summer.

Kammerjunkers are made from a dough of flour, fat (for example, butter), eggs, sugar, salt, and baking powder. The dough is formed into rolls, pre-baked, sliced, and then baked again to completion.
